Empowering Women’s Health: Gynaecological Surgical Camp 2024

In March 2024, the Mitsu Foundation, in collaboration with the Bhojay Sarvodaya Trust, successfully organized a three-day Gynaecological Surgical Camp in Bhojay, a village situated in Mandvi, Kutch. This event aimed to address healthcare disparities and prioritize women’s well-being, particularly in rural areas. Building on the impact of the previous year’s camp, the organizers were poised to repeat their efforts from March 14th to 17th, 2024, extending their reach to encompass the entire Kutch region. The camp witnessed a collaborative effort that brought much-needed medical care to the women of Kutch. Over three days, the camp served as a beacon of hope, offering accessible healthcare to a community that faced challenges in obtaining specialized services. Local and Mumbai-based doctors joined forces. A team of doctors comprising of Dr. Darshuk Mehta, Dr. Brinda, Dr. Nilesh, Dr. Henali, Dr. Mandar, Dr. Slipi Singh, Dr. Urvi Kothari, Dr. Rubina Sayyed and anesthetist Dr. Jayesh & Dr. Keniya provided comprehensive gynaecological consultations, examinations, and surgical procedures. The camp extended beyond consultations, offering a spectrum of gynaecological surgeries to address various health concerns faced by the women in the region.
Expertise Onsite: Local and Mumbai-based Doctors Unite

One of the distinctive features of this initiative was the collaboration between local doctors and specialists from Mumbai. This ensured that the community not only received immediate care but also benefited from the expertise brought in by doctors from urban centers. The exchange of knowledge and resources between local and visiting doctors enriched the overall healthcare experience for the women attending the camp.
